Protecting the World's Rarest Species

Our unique approach provides services to communities in exchange for protecting critical habitats hosting some of the world's rarest and most threatened species. Our approach catalyzes conservation by providing services that drive the adoption of sustainable resource management plans. Our wildlife trade programs approach species protection from the other side by working with government and law enforcement to stop the trapping and hunting of endangered species.

THE WORLD'S RAREST

We work to protect some of the world's rarest species from the Critically Endangered Bornean Orangutan to the Critically Endangered Helmeted Hornbill and Abbotti's Cockatoo.

BIODIVERSITY SURVEYS AND RESEARCH

Planet Indonesia is also dedicated to collecting data on little known species and habitats. Our biodiversity survey team has conducted surveys and identified critical habitats that historically received little attention from conservationists. We use data and research to help local government and conservationists better understand priority conservation areas and how species are using different habitats.
